Magnificent Matthew Brooks debuted in Morecambe at Golden Chance 2016 in a singles match against UnSexy Kev.
Kev had reached an all time low – his tag partner Mr Big Shaun Vasey had disappeared, his sexiness had all but gone, his confidence non-existent – And the Magnificent one took full advantage for a victorious debut.
Brooks rubbed salt in the wounds by singing about how pathetic Kev was and gloating about his victory.
Later that night Brooks dug the knife in even further when he eliminated UnSexy Kev from the Golden Chance Rumble.
The shock of the night came when – with Kev’s former partner Shaun Vasey returning to action in the rumble – Kev reappeared, tore off his UnSexy clothes and SEXY Kev was back!
Kev’s Sexy return surprised everyone, especially Brooks, and Kev immediately came after his earlier opponent, and got a measure of revenge by eliminating him from the rumble.
Fast forward to 2017, and Matthew Brooks’ return to Morecambe. Another victory for the Magnificent one, yet all he could talk about was Sexy Kev.
At Morecambe Mayhem, Matthew Brooks cost Sexy Kev a #1 contender’s tag match when he came out singing, distracting the fan favourite.
Kev went on to return the favour, distracting Brooks during his match with Danny Hope with a song of his own! Leading to Brooks’ first loss in Morecambe, and a fight broke out between the two.
Matthew Brooks demanded a match against his nemesis, and fortunately for him, Kev wanted the same thing.
Evil Lewis saw the hatred boil over between these two at Morecambe Mayhem and decided this could only truly be settled in a no disqualification match!
Kev was more than ready on that day, and defeated Matthew Brooks to seemingly end Brooks’ Morecambe career.
2018 saw a transformation with Sexy Kev as he focused on MMA training, improved his grappling technique, became more serious and now goes by Kev Lloyd Pro Wrestler.
His tag partner Mr Big Shaun Vasey went the opposite direction, calling himself Horn ee Shaun ee, and living only to have fun!
This was clearly the beginning of the end for Big Sexxxy as once they lost the tag titles Kev snapped. He verbally destroyed Shaun, bringing up his past incarnations as Mr Big and “The Creeper” while pointing out that Kev himself was wanted all over the country and winning titles, Shaun is a “nobody”.
The same night Big Sexxxy disbanded, Matthew Brooks returned.
The magnificent one brought his unique singing entrance back to Morecambe and wanted to embrace the crowd he once despised. And punching Robert Wishart in the face certainly helped!
Upon his return to Morecambe, Brooks saw what Kev had become and decided he needed a lesson in humility, and who better than his nemesis to supply it!
