In 2017, Cyanide and Solar – together known as Solar Power – were tag team champions and seemed unstoppable.
Under the surface, jealousy was brewing.
Despite both members being incredibly popular with the fans, 400lb man mountain Cyanide was seen as the superior teammate, with luchador Solar being viewed perhaps as the “weak link”.
With every match that Cyanide would score the winning pinfall, with every fan who would chant for Cyanide while Solar was in the ring, with every shout of “tag Cyanide in, only Cyanide can win!” Solar’s resetment grew.
At Vendetta 2017, Cyanide was unable to attend, and Solar decided he would defend the tag titles on his own.
This decision backfired massively as he was defeated, and lost the tag team championships.
After this loss, Solar blamed Cyanide. When the duo were due to face then AOW champion King Grayson and his Jester JJ, Solar decided this time HE couldn’t attend – Leaving Cyanide alone in a form of tit-for-tat revenge.
Cyanide went on to defeat Grayson and JJ by himself, and earned a title shot.
When the time came for Cyanide to have his chance at becoming champion, Solar chose this time to make his return, costing Cyanide of his title victory.
Afterwards, Cyanide was inconsolable. He believed Solar was a friend. And he betrayed him.
In 2018, Robert Wishart – as Solar was now calling himself – declared he wanted to face Cyanide one on one. But Cyanide refused to return to Morecambe.
Wishart used this fact to claim that Cyanide was scared of him, and didn’t want to be “embarassed”.
At Morecambe Mayhem, Wishart was taking part in a triple threat – with championship implications – but Cyanide’s music played! The screen showed a graphic stating that Cyanide would be returning!
This distraction cost Wishart his shot at gold, but don’t expect that to be the end of Cyanide’s revenge.
At Vendetta 2018, Cyanide is back, and he is coming to destroy Robert Wishart.by
