What a night as Alpha Omega presented Vendetta 2017 from the Carleton.
Silent Mark and Alpha Male Evil Lewis started the show off with some bad news and good news.
The good news was that King Grayson will be defending the Alpha Omega championship in a first time ever triple threat match, and that we would be having a special announcement regarding next month’s Golden Chance rumble.
The bad news being that due to outside commitments, tag team champion Cyanide was unable to appear. BUT his tag partner Solar guaranteed that he would be defending the tag team titles no matter what.
This news lead to the challengers making their entrance early. Lead by women’s champion Felony, Andre Dekker Barricade and Alton Thorne, HellBound.
HellBound chose which two members would be taking part in the match, and Andre Dekker made it clear that due to Barricade’s lack of victories in Morecambe, he should sit this one out as Thorne and Dekker took care of it.
Never one to back down from a challenge, Solar made his entrance alone with both tag titles. As Solar was saying something to Silent Mark, it appeared as though he was ready to defend the titles alone, when the all too familiar music of King Ryan Grayson rang through the venue.
The Alpha Omega Champion (and his loyal Jester JJ) made a grand entrance and the former leader of The Referendum took to the mic to address his “friend” Solar.
Grayson said that he couldn’t possibly let Solar defend the belts on his own, and as a fellow champion and Scotsman he wanted to offer his Jester Jay Jay’s services to be Solar’s partner for the night?!
Solar was in a fighting mood and would take the match by any means necessary, and the match began.
Solar spent the entire match fighting alone, refusing to trust Jay Jay (who spent the entirety jingling his bells on the apron). This level of mistrust would cost Solar the match and the titles as he refused to tag Jester in, and would fall victim to a devestating double team attack as HellBound left as NEW tag team champions!
It seems as though Grayson’s interfering in Solar’s business has cost him his first championship in Alpha Omega. And Solar was distraught.
Mr Williams Esq made his entrance ready to go one on one with timekeeper Ethan Buckel.
As Ethan made his entrance from the ringside timekeeper’s table, Williams mocked the youngster, and even offered him an opportunity to lay down and take the loss without having to be beaten badly. Ethan responded by striking Williams in his face!
This only angered the teacher further, as he took control of his much smaller opponent. Ethan’s lack of in ring experience was obvious as Williams threw him around like a ragdoll. As the “match” went on, Williams’ confidence became cockiness, and Ethan fired up! He took the fight to Williams with an arsenal of strikes and expertly executed wrestling moves, shocking everyone, and even looking as though he would pick up the huge upset! That was until Williams pushed the referee into the ropes, causing Ethan to fall crotch first onto the turnbuckle, and Williams took advantage to pick up the win.
As if the win over a non-wrestler wasn’t enough, Williams went on to further attack Ethan after the match. Luckily for Ethan, Rick Markus ran out and cleared Williams from the ring.
Markus helped young Ethan to his feet and raised the youngsters arm as the audience applauded a great performance from the timekeeper, and Williams angrily stormed out.
As Ethan was helped to the back, Fantastic Matt Fox came out for his scheduled match against Markus.
The Grafter was more than ready for Fox and the match came to a quick start.
Both men showed what they were capable of as they put on a great back and forth match. Until Fox crossed a line, slapping Markus across the face, and making the Grafter lose his cool.
Markus took control and dominated Fox, finishing him off and picking up his first victory in Morecambe in 2017.
Evil Lewis addressed the crowd to bring clarity to the controversy surrounding the women’s championship.
The Alpha Male stated that despite Lana Austin choosing to appear elsewhere, claiming the Morecambe fans don’t deserve her, there WILL be a women’s championship match.
Women’s champion Felony made her entrance supported by the new tag team champions HellBound.
Lewis then revealed that as soon as the spot opened up he was immediately contacted by a young hungry wrestler eager to prove herself, and introduced Alexxis Falcon.
Alexxis spoke candidly to the Morecambe fans that even though she hasn’t wrestled for them before, she fell in love with them when she first stepped out in front of them at Morecambe Mayhem and immediately decided that they deserved a champion who would represent them with integrity. And she wanted to take on the champion in her debut match!
Felony went straight for her challenger, but there was a fire within Alexxis as she took it to the champion. Falcon put on an incredible debut performance and looked well on her way to becoming champion on her first night, until Barricade got involved. This distraction was all Felony needed to hit the devestating swinging neckbreaker that won her the title, to retain her championship.
Alpha Male Lewis said he wasn’t letting Alexxis’ story end there, and immediately offered her a rematch, only next time HellBound will be BANNED from ringside.
Fan favourite Ryan Hunter made his entrance for his “pick your poison” match against an opponent chosen by Sam Gradwell.
As Hunter absorbed the adoration from the fans on the stage, Dean MacManus attacked him with a chair!
MacManus battered young Ryan down viciously, throwing him in the ring and hitting a devestating backbreaker onto the open chair!
Dean revealed HE was Hunter’s opponent, but Hunter clearly couldn’t compete so he should be awarded the win via forfeit.
As the fans realised this was all part of Gradwell’s plan to avoid facing Hunter, Ryan stopped the referee from throwing the match out, and demanded it start anyway.
Despite clearly needing medical attention, nothing would stop Ryan from winning this match and getting his hands on Gradwell. Everything MacManus threw at Hunter, he just kept coming.
Hunter would turn the match on it’s head, hitting his powerful Blockbuster and picking up the victory, much to the delight of the crowd.
As MacManus left disgusted, Ryan grabbed a microphone to address his rival, who had decided to not appear, taking bookings elsewhere.
As the second half of the show started, an unfamiliar face made an appearance.
“Tu-Byt” came out in front of the Morecambe crowd for his first time, and took no time to tell the fans how much better than them he was.
To the delight of the crowd, a much more familiar sound rang through the Carleton, the theme song of CRAIG KOLLINS!
The War Machine came out and took little time destroying Tu Byt, throwing the brash youngster all over the ring and reminding fans why he is a former champion.
Ryan Hunter stepped out onto the stage to reveal that Gradwell is in serious trouble. His opponent is someone who has scored huge victories over Gradwell in the past, a former British Champion, and a man that has been waiting all year for a chance to smash someone’s head in. CRAIG KOLLINS!
As Kollins hit a cannonball on Tu Byt, he was ready to set up his patented ASBO roaring elbow, but the big screen displayed a familiar logo, and the mystery man known as BB addressed Craig directly, stating that Kollins needed “eyes in the back of his head”. This proved to be apt, as Tu Byt snuck up from behind and rolled Kollins up for the victory.
Kollins was left in the ring wondering what just happened. Then BB appeared on the screen again, maniacally laughing at Kollins’ loss. This drove Craig over the edge and he lost it, hitting a dominator on Tu Byt, before heading backstage looking ready to kill someone.
Up next Sexy Kev came out for his feud ending no-dq match against Matthew Brooks, but Brooks was yet another person who had no showed (possibly running scared).
Kev said he was here to fight, and issued an open challenge, answered by a very angry Barricade.
Kev came out victorious, as Barricade was distracted by arguing between his HellBound team mates Dekker and Thorne. And this led to even more anger between the three!
Before the world famous Morecambe Raffle, Alpha Male Evil Lewis made the announcement that at the next show, Golden Chance on September 30th, we would be having a Rising Stars qualifying match.
Four young future stars will face off in a fatal four way, where the winner would receive the coveted #20 spot in the Golden Chance rumble itself, but the loser (person who took the pinfall/submission) would NOT be entered in the rumble at all!
King Grayson came out to share his opinion on wrestlers taking other bookings and his belief that they don’t care about the fans. This rant ended when he demanded that the referee Chris Sharpe count out Danny and Joey, awarding Grayson the victory (meaning Danny and Joey never receive another title shot).
Evil Lewis reappeared and informed Grayson that he WOULD defend his title in a triple threat match tonight. And Big Sexxxy emerged!
This was the first time Grayson was in a situation where he didn’t need to be pinned or submitted to lose his title.
Despite this, Grayson was eager to make the two partners, but that didn’t work well at all.
Kev and Vasey took turns beating down the King.
Ultimately, Grayson looked to finish Kev off with the Royal Decree.
Shaun went for a big boot on Grayson, but the King pushed Kev into the path of Vasey’s massive foot.
As Shaun paused to check on his fallen partner, Grayson rolled up the big man and got his feet on the ropes for the pinfall victory to retain his championship.
Grayson and his Jester celebrated in the ring, when Solar ran out and attacked the duo, causing them to scatter from the ring!
Alpha Male Evil Lewis re-appeared and said: “I’ve just been on the phone to Cyanide, and he has promised me he WILL be at Golden Chance. So Grayson, you and your jester can’t keep out of Solar’s business, at Golden Chance, you two will be in tag team action against Solar Power”
With this blockbuster announcement, Solar will finally get his hands on Grayson, and a chance at revenge for the Scottish luchador!by
