Grayson has been feuding with Danny Hope and Joey Hayes for years.
Throughout the days of PAID Promotions, whenever Greg Lambert wanted Joey Hayes taken out, he would employ the “Edinburgh Elite” Ryan Grayson, a young cocky upstart eager to prove himself as better than how everyone saw him, and better than everyone else at the same time.
At Era Of Violence, 2014. “The Edinburgh Elite” was embarrassed by Mad Man Manson and Grado in tag team action, and then further humiliated by Danny Hope later in the night when the Delicious One catwalk kicked Grayson out of the ring!
A few weeks later, at Golden Chance 2014, there was a one night tournament to become #1 contender to Craig Kollins’ PPW Championship.
Danny Hope and Grayson would face off in the first round of the tournament, and Hope would walk out the victor.
Unfortunately for Danny, his night would end there too. As he was attacked backstage and was unable to compete any further.
It turned out that Danny was beat down by Grayson and his new group “The Referendum”.
Over the next two years the newly rechristened “Laird” Grayson led his new faction to the women’s title and the tag titles in Alpha Omega, but always had a thorn in his side as Delicious Danny Hope and Joey Hayes made it their mission to never let Grayson forget what he did.
At the end of 2016, when Grayson destroyed his own group in order to become champion.
And he did it by interrupting the biggest match in Joey Hayes’ career. A one on one Alpha Omega championship match against a man Joey respected – and had never faced in singles action – the retiring undefeated Heavyweight House of Pain Stixx.
“This is a man who will do anything to benefit himself. He will use anyone, attack anyone, even end careers if it achieves his goals”
Those were the words of Danny Hope when asked his thoughts on the now self proclaimed “King” Grayson and his championship victory at Remember Remember 2016.
At the end of Love & War 2017, King Grayson had to defend his newly won championship against Joey Hayes, but for interference from Grayson’s loyal Jester, “Jay Jay” led to Danny running out to even the odds. This was all the distraction Grayson needed to escape with the title intact.
This seemed to have put a wedge between Joey and Danny but that was all forgotten as Danny was granted his one on one title shot against Grayson at War on the Shore.
This time, as the Jester looked to get involved, Joey ran out to ensure nothing would happen to Danny. This worked, but ended up with Joey taking a face full of white powder! Hope took his eye off the ball for a split second to see to his friend, and Grayson AGAIN took advantage of the opportunity to leave champion.
The same night, Joey had already won a #1 contenders match to guarantee one last shot at the title. But he believed that Danny had been unfairly treated and deserved a fair crack at the belt too. So after conferring with Alpha Male Evil Lewis, the match was made into a triple threat match.
Grayson didn’t accept the match without a fight however. He added a stipulation known as “The King’s Rule” which means if he leaves Vendetta victorious, he will never have to defend the title against Joey or Danny again.
At Vendetta, Grayson will have to face the consequences of his actions over the years as the men he had wronged the most, look to make things right.
It’s King Ryan Grayson v Joey Hayes v Delicious Danny Hope in a triple threat match for the Alpha Omega Championship!
