At Morecambe Mayhem, The Referendum were flying high.
Thanks to interference from Bete Noir, Lana Austin was unable to win the women’s championship.
And immediately afterwards, Bobby Roberts and Lewis Girvan successfully defended their tag team titles against Cyanide and Solar.
Laird Grayson was feeling so confident that he challenged young Ryan Hunter – who had been at ringside with Solar Power – to an impromptu match right there and then.
This cockiness would cost the Laird as the former cameraman would shock the Winter Gardens with a stunning running dropkick and roll up for the quick victory!
Laird Grayson has been quick to point out that this match was never made official, and that the loss does not count. However he has challenged Hunter to an official one on one match at War on the Shore.
The Laird is so confident of victory that he has added a stipulation.
The match will be a “Kiss the flag match”
This means that if Ryan Hunter can defeat Laird Grayson, The leader of The Referendum will have to kiss the English flag.
However if Grayson is victorious, then Hunter will have to kiss the Scottish flag.
With their respective Nations’ pride on the line, can the young upstart cause another huge shock? or will he be left laying after a Bannockburn Beatdown?
